Brampton is a parkland-style course characterized by tree-lined fairways, and ingenious use of the natural landscape. Drama abounds, from the first hole, with its tee tucked tightly to the stately clubhouse, and the fairway meandering into a river valley before emerging at a green on a ridgeline.

Captivating.

The course is widely recognized for its tremendous home stretch of holes that encounter the Etobicoke Creek, culminating in the dramatic par-3 16th, which drops into the river valley, and finishing on the incredible 18th, which snakes along a ridge to a green perched in front of the clubhouse.

Walkable and engaging.

Brampton presents the ideal mix for the casual player or low-handicap golfer alike. The front nine offers the look of a historic course, with wandering fairways and a perspective that’s secluded, offers a delightful way of working your way into your round.

Brooke’s Best.

Though she was only 16 at the time, Smiths Falls’ Brooke Henderson was already a legend when she appeared at Brampton to battle for the 2014 Ontario Amateur. She’d lead through the entire event, and turn professional a year later, winning on the LPGA Tour before having her first membership. She quoted “The 2014 Ontario Amateur at Brampton Golf Club was a great event. The course has a strong layout for tournament golf and is really fun to play.”

There’s plenty of test to the course—which is why it has a long history of being used for notable tournaments, including amateur events like the 1969 and 2011 Men’s Ontario Amateur, numerous men’s senior amateur titles, as well as professional outings, including the 1985 CPGA Championship and the 1989 Canadian Tour Players Championship.

Busy lives put increasing demand on our time. Because of this, practice facilities allow us to experience the game when we don’t have the time for 18 holes. Like a great course, a terrific practice facility really sets a club apart. Such is the case with Brampton Golf Club.

Golf is the ideal sport for youngsters, with the emphasis on hard work and perseverance, as well as the great mix of sport and social elements. Brampton has actively engaged junior golfers, with expert instruction designed to help your pre-teen or teenager reach their potential. Whether your kids just want to stroll for a walk with their parents under the evening sun, or tackle some competition with friends, Brampton can help facilitate that journey.

Clinton “Robbie” Robinson

One of the deans of Canadian golf, Robbie Robinson was a protégé of Stanley Thompson, and is responsible for courses across Canada, having reworked or designed more than 100 during his lifetime. Known for following many of the key tenets of Thompson’s work—strategic, yet playable—Robinson worked with the land he was given, including an intriguing piece of property near the Etobicoke Creek that closes the routing.

Robinson designed the current Brampton Golf Club in 1963. In more recent years, numerous top Canadian architects, including Doug Carrick and Ian Andrew, have worked on the course.
